Privacy Policy

We want our customers to be aware of what information we collect, how it is used and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose that information.

Information Collection and Use

We respect your right to privacy and only use your information collected through this web site as described in this Privacy Policy. For each visitor to this site, our web server automatically recognizes only your IP address which is used by a third party, Google Analytics, to measure our web site traffic. That data can disclose your general location such as City and State, but has no personal identifying data.

The information we collect is:

  • used to improve the content and function of our web site.
  • used to notify customers or potential customers about updates to our company via email if you subscribe to our newsletter, contact us regarding a quote, or make a general inquiry.
  • used to process your quote. Your name, address, phone number, email address and other pertinent information are only collected to process your request. It is also used for communications between FTL Yacht Charters, Florida Division of Prestige Yacht Charters and the customer.
  • During customer registration a user must give certain contact information, but we never sell or give away this information.

Our Contact Forms

We require information from the user on our forms. A user must provide contact information (name, email, address, etc.) and possibly financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). If we have trouble processing an sale, we use the information to contact the user. This information is used:

  • for billing purposes.
  • to fill customers reservations.

When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as credit card information, we redirect visitors to a secure server that encrypts transmitted data.

Comments and Reviews

When visitors leave a comment or a review on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We share generic user data (nothing that identifies you directly) with Google Analytics to measure our traffic.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or submit a form, the information and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that contact us via our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their submission to help assist you as a customer. We do not resell or share your information to any third parties. The only time we share your data with a third party is if it is necessary to process your reservation or orders.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Notification of Changes

Any modifications to our privacy policy will be reflected within this area of ftlcharteryachts.com. If there is a material change in our privacy policy, we will indicate on our site/s that our privacy policy has changed and provide a link to the updated privacy statement.
